multimixer
Did you update all necessary info in file includes/configure.php? Among others you need to set the DB name, password etc My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel

multimixer
i uploaded these files through the ftp. Do you think i need to go into my control panel and give this file a new database name and password? and do you think i need to configure the permissions again? thanks During installation process the file includes/configure.php is getting "written" with some info like database name and password, the paths of your store etc etc. If you replace the file with a new one (as you said you did) then all this info is not present in the file, obviously. All you need to do is to reenter this info, you need to find the file, open it, make changes and upload it. There are many examples in the forum about how this file has to look like. You can not enter any info, it need to be the correct one, like ie the DB name and password as it got set when creating the database An other option is to replace this new (empty) file you have with the old (written) one, if you have a backup of your includes folder before replacing it My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
jewels1
hi i am going to have rebuild the entire shop. i have no idea where the database is. I do have dbs in my control panel but i have to find out which one matched that shop. If i have to reinstall a new shop can i just wipe out all the files and the just put a fresh new os commerce catalogue in?
