KarateEd
Hi Folks, I'm trying to set up a shipping table so that my cards (which are quite light) but could be quite heavy if enough are ordered. The problems: The weights are showing up in lbs, not grams as it should in Canada.... How do you set ratios so that a set of cards weighing about $2.00 worth of shipping costs and a whole box of cards weighing much more that might cost about $30.00. The first set is probably about 10 grams, the second box would be about 5 kilos. When I try to do this on my site, the $ amount doesn't seem to change and the weight seems to come in at 2 or 3 pounds for something that isn't nearly that weight. Thanks for any help you can give me. Ed......:-)
KarateEd
Perhaps a simpler way of asking this question is....what do I have to change in order to have the correct weights of items have the correct shipping costs? Some items are feather weight and should only cost $1 - $2 to ship to someone in north america. Some items can weigh up to 5 kilos, or 11 lbs. Can anyone tell me the best way to figure out how to get the correct shipping to go to the checkout? This is the last thing I need to do to get my site up and running and any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks again. Ed......:-)

Go to Administration -> Shipping/Packaging and change the Unit Weight to kgs. Then, alter the weight field in your products table to reflects kgs not grams.
