Guest
hello,i am new to the forum and i have been searching the forums for a couple of hours and i cant seem to find out how to move the postcode to a separate line. eg, if i open an order up in my admin and i view the customers address there postcode is on the same line as the last line of the address ( see below) joe bloggs 83 bluegate Road Bidford West Yorkshire, BD13 1TD United Kingdom how can i make the address appear as below, as we just copy and paste the address for printing and wouldnt have to keep editing the address label if it was set out as below. joe bloggs 83 bluegate Road Bidford West Yorkshire, BD13 1TD United Kingdom hope you can help me . ♥geoffreywalton
You could try editing the country and changing the address format to 2. Shop Admin >> Locations / Taxes >> Countries There are 5 default formats so why not try them all? Dont forget this will probably change the address layout everywhere it appears. spooks
Sam's Anti-hacker Account Mods http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7202 includes a sql to add counties & a new address format, you could edit that format & then apply the sql, with or without the counties. mghay
Whilst I can see that you can select address formats 1 - 5, is there anywhere to view or otherwise see how these address layouts will be displayed? I have selected each format ID in turn without any change to existing invoices - or will the newly selected format only apply to new orders / invoices after the new selection? Finally, does anyone know where these formats are compiled and is it possible to alter them? Thanks, Mike

Thanks, Mike OK, just found the answer to my question elsewhere in this forum - and it's all in the address_format table in the db. Not terribly convenient when you want to select a new format but at least it is accessible and alterable. M
