Checkout Doubles Item cost

I was wondering if anyone else has come across their checkout doubling the cost of items. i have one item in my basket but when i go onto the check out comfirmation page it shows my sub total has doubled the product price. I've got no tax added but it seems somewhere in the coding it's doubling up but i'm not sure what i'm looking for to solve the problem does anyone else know??
