brojamma
We have a situation where we sell over 16,000 different items and they are constantly changing - this makes it impossible for us to maintain all of the product weights in oscommerce. We also need the ability to offer express shipping - something that cannot be calculated with any accuracy without having these weights. My solution is to put a form on our website for the customer to fill out so we know everything they need. What I would like to be able to do at that point is create an order containing everything they need, calculate the shipping charges, and then link them to the pre-created order (or cart) in oscommerce so that they can enter their payment/shipping information and complete the order. Is this possible using the manual order entry add-on? Would we be able to link a customer to this order and then have them enter payment info and complete it? I'm just trying to weigh my options at this point. We experimented with flat-rate ground shipping and asked customers to call us for any express shipping options but far too many phone calls are coming in and eating up too much of our time - especially for small orders. I'm definitely open to suggestions!

You may need to adapt it to work exactly how you would like but its certainly a good place to start Getting better with mods but no programmer am I. vespa2112
Hey brojamma, did you ever find a solution to your issue? I am looking for the exact same type of thing where I could email a link to a customer where they could access a pre-populated order that I have created, then proceed to checkout. Any info i helpful.
