Fresh install - Problems with includes?

I completed the install using web based install procedure. When I click ont he button to go to the admin interface I get the following error.

 

 

Fatal error: Failed opening required 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/html/domains/salvageplace.com/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 190

 

 

Can someone tell me where I need ot look to correct this error? I get very much the same error when attempting to go to the catalog. I am running Redhat 8.0 fairly vanilla install witht helatest updates.
