rrice05
First off, if i didn't post this in the correct forum, could a mod/admin move it? Im working with Version 2.2 for a friend, working on a site. For the most part 90% of the site is done and in working order. However i have gone through the add ons for product attributes, downloaded just about everyone i found, looking for what i need. I don't know if im not searching the right key words, or if it's just not here. What i need is the ability to add multiple attributes to certain products. IE: Product A has 3 choices... Size, Color & Qty. Product B has Color & Qty. But it also has to reflect the proper price change to the cart. So if the base price of product A is $20.00, and they choose 3 of Product A, then the cart will reflect the price of $60.00 as well as color and or size chosen from the options. Anyone know of an add on that will do this or know how to make one? Thank you in advanced.
♥kymation
You don't need an addon -- the stock osCommerce code will do this. Look in your site Admin -> Catalog -> Products Attributes. rrice05
Yes ive done that. But it seems that i can add only one value to each product. So instead of the catalog displaying product a with the drop downs, i have product a listed multiple times with option 1, option 2, etc. is there a better way to do this? ♥kymation
No, you can add multiple options to each product, and multiple values to each option. I still don't see the problem here. Maybe you can give an example? Regrds Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
rrice05
Edit: Maybe im going about this the wrong way. Or thinking of it the wrong way. This is what i have. Product Options: Color Size Quantity Amount Option values: Option Name- Color Option Value- Black Option Name- Color Option Value- White Option Name- Color Option Value- Blue Option Name- Color Option Value- Red Option Name- Size Option Value- Small Option Name- Size Option Value- Medium Option Name- Size Option Value- Large Option Name- Size Option Value- XL Option Name- Amount Option Value- Liter Option Name- Amount Option Value- Gallon Product Attributes: Product Name- Product A Option Name- Color Option Value- Black Product Name- Product A Option Name- Color Option Value- White Product Name- Product A Option Name- Color Option Value- Blue Product Name- Product A Option Name- Color Option Value- Red Product Name- Product A Option Name- Size Option Value- Small Product Name- Product A Option Name- Size Option Value- Medium Product Name- Product A Option Name- Size Option Value- Large Product Name- Product A Option Name- Size Option Value- XL **Quantity is listed in a drop down from 1-10. Now, every time i had a new product, i have to go through and add each individual option. So it takes somewhere between 10-15 minutes, depending on how may pages of options i have to flip through to get for that section. Is there away, to when i say add Product B to the list, that i can choose the option of Color and it add's all the color options for me and chose the option of Size, and it add's all the option values of size? Because the way it sits now, from the above example, and what it looks like in the catalog attributes section, i have the same product added upwards to 10 times, just to add a new attribute. Is there away to make it so when i add a new product, i can choose the main option itself and it auto adds all the option values to it?
♥kymation
Now I understand. Look in the Addons section for the Attributes Manager. That should make things a bit easier.
