Im new to the forums & new to OScommerce i have had a site for about 2 month's now i got it from www.templatemonster.com, Iv been working on my shop for about a week but there are a few things i would like to do but i carnt seem to do like... Add a Gift Code box at checkout. Remove the "You have to make a account to but items" but id still like the opction to have a account. Remmber i am new to this so english please :) Im running V 2.2 RCS is there any security fix's or anything i need to knoe befor putting my shop live? Edit PS. Guest Posted March 20, 2010 Share Posted March 20, 2010 Chris, Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately we can only offer you general advice here because you are using a Purchased Template. Template creators OFTEN 'hack' up oscommerce terribly to conform with their design so the advice you get here might not be suitable for your needs. Having said that, you may be able to install a coupon code contribution. There are some listed in the Add Ons tab at the top of this page. You MAY be able to install PWA (purchase without account) but to be honest, you will still need billing and shipping information from the customer. If you are Running V2.2 RCS, you will need to update to the latest version V2.2 RC2a and apply security updates as well. Your last issue would have to be given to the template creator as the code is not standard. However, if you post the code for that, someone might be able to help you. It also mods the checkout to provide a more natural process & a better method for purchase without account than PWA does. Contributions: Auto Backup your Database, Easy way Multi Images with Fancy Pop-ups, Easy way Products in columns with multi buy etc etc Disable any Category or Product, Easy way Secure & Improve your account pages et al.
