HLT
Hi all - Another question probably asked a million times, sorry in advance, I did search first. How do all of you provide customer service to your customers without any way to see what credit card number they entered, either on the admin or in the database, where Im told (it used to be at least) its encrypted and unreadable? My merchant system also hides the number. Any thoughts? HLT . www.hairlosstalk.com Consumer Hair Loss Information & Support
Denver Dave
My perspective is different. We don't know the credit card number and from a web site perspective, do not want to know. I sleep better knowing it is handled by paypal or another gateway.

Sometimes I get credit card disputes and need to provide documentaiton to the merchant company of the purchase. Are there any instances where you've needed to retrieve the card number but just didn't have it? It is not.... unless you use the straight CC mod... if you you Authorize.net or any of the other gateways you don't have it.... Angela
