kcargin
Background: I'm running an advertising co-op of about 20 stores, which all sell the same products. We're all independent distributors for the same company and pool our money to leverage advertising on places like Google. Currently, each person has their own store and each store has a drastically different look and feel. Basically, these stores are set up in a rotator url, so each time our advertised link is clicked, the next site in the rotation comes up. The problem is that a prospective customer who clicks on our advertised link and likes what they sees but comes back later most likely will not get the same site and can be turned off. What I'm wanting to accomplish: I'd like to set up one shop essentially, but have multiple "owners". So, for instance, if there are 5 people in my wheel, and on a given day we get 5 orders, each person would get an order. So essentially, I'd be divying out orders instead of traffic. This would make it much easier for me to control the whole operation, give continuity in site appearance, and make sure everyone gets relatively the same number of orders (average orders are usually about the same, so each person would sell approximately the same number of products in a given time period). It seems like the shopping mall contribution would kind of work, but not exactly. Does anyone have a solution like this or have any idea as to what files, modules, etc. to tweak? I have some experience with the old TEP, and am getting my feet wet again with the new version, but I expect to be up to speed pretty quickly. If I can get direction and figure out the rest from there, I'd be happy to make a contribution. Sorry for the novel and thanks to everyone who has brought this great software to where it is!
