You need to do following

1) On this 2 files

/catalog/includes/configure.php
/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php

set the permissions to be 777

2) Run the installation again

3) Set the permissions on the files to be 644 or 444

How to set permissions?

Go to your host cpanel, go to filemanager, find the file, check it and then click "change permissions" must be somewhere in the top menu area

I can't make the attributes back to 644 or 444

I'm using ( PLESK PARRALELS CONTROL PANEL 8.6.0.5 )

this cpanel does not allow direct numerical attributes (only check boxes)

I did my best to change the attributes to (read) but I still get the same message:

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: D:\inetpub\vhosts\CHEZ-OLABI.COM\httpdocs\catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

I did set the right permission but still get the same warning..!

Pls. help me with this as well.

Thanks.

yes I did

but I still get the same warning!

Do you mean that you could set them to 777 but you can not set them back?

Make the checkbox box to have just the first line of boxes checked, all others unchecked

I did not use ftp client to change permission, I changed permission by cpanel, following is a photo of the cpanel:

now changing back the permission does not solve the problem, ...

what can I do?

is there a way to set it back to 444 without using the cpanel or filezilla?

You're on a windows based server. 644, 444, 400, etc., are chmod permissions which applies to Unix/linux based servers. Follow post #5 by Nic, aka Fimble.

UNCHECK the box to inherit parent permissions. Then as you highlight each line of the users, UNCHECK Full Control and Check Write DENY and Modify DENY.

I just did as you say...

but still getting the same warning!

I did not quite understand what you mean by making you a new image
