Like to bounce ideas off of people for a "booking" system

This is for a women's fitness center that offers a bunch of different class types on different days/ times

 

First I will explain how the payments and registration works..

 

There are two class slots that are single classes.. they pay for the one class and attend the one class and that is it. These classes have 18 slots opened per class. The client will basically choose the class they want and the date/time they want and add it to their cart and pay. In paying it SHOULD add them as attending which will remove one available space in the class/time/day

 

Then the rest of the classes get more complex.

 

We want the user to purchase their class block (a 5 week session which includes 5 classes)

So for instance the Pole Dancing basic session is a 5 week session and the classes are monday at 5:00, tuesday at 9:00 and friday at 7:00

 

When the people sign up, they pay for the 5 weeks in full and then they are given the ability to register for the specific type of class and only 5 of them. They do not have to register all at once, they can register for one at a time.. but they have to pay for it all at once.

 

I am thinking something along the lines of the "buy one 5 free" type of thing.. where they buy the one package and then are able to add the other classes "free" and those will have a stock allotted to them, so they will only be allowed to book if there are spaces left.

 

The other thing I was thinking was maybe special pricing per customer? I dont know..i really need to pick the brains of the community and see where it lands me

So i have been thinking about this more and am trying to come to a conclusion for the "bank" of products that they are allowed to purchase

 

Is there an addon that allows the customer to purchase one product, and when they purchase that particular product they get a different product free? So buy the "package" of classes and get your 5 individual classes free.. By purchasing your 5 individual classes you are actually booking them. I can set up the classes as individual products to attributes, this way it doesnt matter so long as they have a stock / sold out quantity attached to them.

 

In this case, I can do special pricing per customer where if customer X purchased product y, they get special pricing ($0.00) for 5 products in category Z

Is there an addon that allows the customer to purchase one product, and when they purchase that particular product they get a different product free? So buy the "package" of classes and get your 5 individual classes free.

 

There is a "get 1 free" addon, so you can say "buy 1 of A and get 5 of B for free" . Not sure if this is the best solution, since people should be able to buy (book) the additional courses to a later moment.

 

Maybe you give them discount coupons?

So the "get 1 free" addon allows you to set free products in different categories based on the individual product the person buys, but the problem with this is it automatically adds those free products to their cart, and I need to add them to a customer "bank" and they can pick when they want to buy their products and at which time

 

Ideas on how to impliment this?

Maybe it's easier, instead of giving them products, to give them "money" (coupons) so that they can buy the products in a given period of time

Actually, CREDITS are better than money.. can't really give them money because we will have other things in the store. They need to have "credits" in their bank that they use.. Or something of the sort.

 

I have no issue with taking an existing addon and tweaking it to make it work, btu I have not done much for addons in regards to conditional items based on past purchases.

 

Basically, this really needs to be as SIMPLE as possible, so credits and money in the "bank" get to be too much and start to really get away from what I am trying to do. I'm NOT trying to do this with existing addons, but I would like to come up with a solid solution based on the basic functions of the cart and then customize.

I am in need of a event registration web application. We produce table soccer tournaments with different levels of events, that are sold in Packages similar to what you describe here. In our circumstance, a player's classification determines which events are available for purchase. So in our case the classification would equate to a "shopper level".
