ecommercetech
Anyone has any experience with Magento ecommerce platform? Recently I tried it out and I must say it's very powerful. Out of box, it integrates many more features than osCommerce or any other open source ecommerce platforms. However, I just feel that it's too powerful and too complicated for small businesses. So for those running small personal websites, my advice is to stick with osCommerce. Guys, you are most welcome to share you views on Magento vs osCommerce. spooks
This topic keeps coming up but poeple dont seem to look for the old ones, like http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/349294-oscommerce-v-magento/ Basically if you can afford a expensive powerful server that you need to run magneto at just a moderate speed!! & can afford the high cost they charge to upgrade/modify then try it Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it. Magento is powerful and every ecommerce developer will try it for sure. However, there are a number of issues with it, e.g. performance, difficult design modifications etc. I plan to use only 2 or 3 shopping carts for my projects osCommerce 3, ZenCart and Avactis.
