mhoutermans
I have problems with my site which I don't know whether it is a server problem or a php coding problem. when I click on a link to my sit, e.g., http://shop.risknowlogy.com, it happens sometimes (not always) that i need to click or reload 3 or 4 times before the shop is shown. I get 3 or 4 a "page not found" and then it goes to the site. Big question do I need to look for a new provider or do I need to fix my code? mhoutermans
sorry there is a comma at the end of the link. try this http://shop.risknowlogy.com Btw if you click on the link above then you see exactly what happens many times
gillweb
i'm not getting that problem with your site. Seems like a good standard OSC setup. I use to have a problem with the page only being half shown sometimes and then refreshing a coupletimes it would show it all. It wound up being a problem with PHP and my hosting server. You may want to see if there are any errors in the PHP logs. <? Hello There! ?>
Guest
I don't know anything about this, but I did try and I too had problems. I had to reload maybe seven times before it worked. Mark
loxly
Take the counts out of the categories box. The page loads the header, then application top has to count your products before it finishes loading the page. mugitty
While I would agree with taking the counts out of your categories box just for aesthetic and speed reasons, I don't think that's the problem. I also had to reload 3 times on my first visit, but have not been able to recreate it after that. Even with flushing everything out of my browser and re-opening it, it's coming up on the first try now. I would check with my provider, were I you. I almost suspect something with the translation to your sub-domain as being the culprit. I don't think there's anything wrong with your code. (although I couldn't "View Source" to see if I could spot anything there) ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent! mattice
Moved to general chat as My Store is intented for "Show and Tell", not for asking questions. I've read the other threads about this. At first glance I'd say it has something to do with the overall setup of the specific server. I'd like to know if there are errors from the log files of -php -apache (or IIS) -ssl engine (if used) There might be something there that gives a clue.
