Error using contrib: easy advanced specials admin (v1.3.2)

Hi All,

 

I am new in OSC and have installed contrib: easy advanced specials admin (v1.3.2)

in below link

when I apply discount value in term of %,i got below error message,anyone know what is the problem,thx all!

406 Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /catalog/admin/specials.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Did you enter a percentage value somewhere with an explicit % character? That may have confused the server when it was passed in a URL Query String from one page to another. A "%" is used to introduce two hexadecimal digits to form a certain character. That's the most common reason for a '406' error that I can think of.

 

You should make yourself a collection of "error documents" (error pages/error handlers): http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/352209-can-anyone-help-me/page__view__findpost__p__1475062 . With a 406 handler, it might even show you the offending URL and give you a hint as to what bad input you gave.

For the input data problem,that's mean I can't use % to set discount?Or there are other method that's working? Since no member raises this question!

not sure if this is going to help, but I have contributed a similar contribution where I do use % sign which does work on my server, you might want to try that one too to figure out where things are going wrong.

I had surmised that you were giving a 25% discount as "25%", rather than 25 or maybe .25. If so, try "25" or ".25". If you're already doing that, someone more familiar with this add-on will have to speak about it.

I don't know, i don't see why it wouldn't as all it does is adding this admin page, don't see where it would be subject to any difference in MS2.2 vs RC2a - you tell me ;)
