Adding sub folders

thats great do you by chance know how to add a sub folder??

Maybe its Products attributes in the admin you should have a look at. If you have a product in many colours you could use that to open a drop down box to list them. I found it a bit complicated at first to get the info in the right place.

Well, categories are not stored in folders, although the category tree looks like a windows folder tree, they are not the same.

IF it is a sub-category you are wanting to add, then in your administration, catalog, categories/products you will see a list of categories, maybe even some products. Below that list there are two buttons. One is New Category and one is New Product. You may even have a Back button. If you click on New Category it will add a sub-category within the current category. So in the category tree it will look like a sub-folder, but it is a sub-category...

Is that what you wanted?

Hello,

I've given that a try and it only adds in another catolog folder but what i would like is a folder coming off of the original catolog folder...is that possible??

It should add the new category at the present location. If you are at the TOP then it will be another top level category. If you are in a category, or sub-category , or sub-sub-category then it will add another sub-category wherever you are.

Maybe you were not at the top?
