Eliminating Subcategory Links

JKander

Recommended Posts

Hello, my name is Justin, and I work with EastCoastAirsoft.com. For some of the categories, we want to hide the subcategory links. As you know, when you click a category, all the subcategories show up in that section, so in some cases, they are redundant. Specifically, we want to hide the subcategory links for external parts, internal parts, and military clothing and gear. Everything else would remain as it is. There has to be a way to do this, but we have not been able to figure it out! Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Come on, I know somebody here can help me out!

Hi,

I think you are using the More Category Boxes contribution you can adjust these display settings in admin under More Categories link not completly sure what you want to do but the admin settings are pretty flexible.

Not sure if this helps but I noticed you are a new member maybe you do not realise this contribution/addon has been installed(I Think).

Regards

John

I looked through the system and I can't find the More Categories link anywhere. I don't think we have that module, I believe.

Hi,

Had another look you are using STS do not use it myself, maybe asking on the STS support thread would help?

It is a bit customized possibily hard coded.

If you look at the page source it is called

<!-- start categorybox6 //-->

seems to have the same function as the More Categories contribution if you look for, and have, a folder called /public_html/includes/sts_templates/ the answer is somewhere in there :rolleyes:

best of luck

john
