dayOff
Hi everyone I've just taken over someone else's system which, looking at the Server Information in the admin section is osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC1 For some categories, products are shown. For other categories, nothing is shown. I can't work out why, any clues? Here's the site: http://www.toolsup.co.uk , click on Circular Saw Blades .. see products. Click on Clothing and Footware .. see no products. What do you think's wrong? Cheers J ---------------------------- John Allsopp http://www.johnallsopp.co.uk/
FIMBLE
Hi Are there products in the DB for this category? and are they set to show (Green Dot) Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
dayOff
Hi Are there products in the DB for this category? and are they set to show (Green Dot) Nic Thanks, yes. For circular saw blades, where products are showing, and for clothes, where they are not, under those top levels is another set of subcategories. Inside there are green dot products. I see no difference between the products, nor the categories. Maybe I should look deeper into the database. The problem I'm trying to solve is that products from the subcategories are shown in the top level category for circular saws, but not for clothes. There are some things that are supposed to be appearing on the home page like this: http://www.toolsup.co.uk/index.php that are also appearing on main category pages like this http://www.toolsup.co.uk/circular-blades-c-128.html where they aren't supposed to. Since no-one's replied to my first problem saying "ah, that's well known OSC problem number 846C", I'm starting to wonder whether the previous programmer messed something up when they failed to amend the home page properly. Does that seem like a fruitful lined of enquiry to follow to you guys? burt
A category can contain only sub categories OR products. Not both.
