Need to introduce text in the home page

I'm creating an oscommerce for my shop, and i wanted to introduce a short description of my business in the main page and put a photo as well. But i don't have a clue how to do it, as i'm quiet new with oscommerce.

Open up your catalog/index.php file and look for this line of code...

} else { //default

It is about 2/3 of the way down the page. What follows is what is displayed on the front page of your store. A little bit of html experience and you can put about what you want on it.
