dec25oct31hahaha
I just installed OSCOMMERCE on my local PC (Windows, IIS, MySQL, PHP). PHP works. MySQL works. Creating databases with PHPMyAdmin works. OSCOMMERCE connects JUST FINE to my newly created empty database on localhost server! BUT THEN AFTER SUCCESFUL INSTALL OSSCOMMERCE WILL NOT RECONNECT TO DATABASE THAT IT JUST POPULATED. After I delete the install folder and got http://localhost/oscommerce I GET THE MESSAGE, "CANNOT CONNECT TO DATABASE SERVER." Funny, OSCOMMERCE connected to and populated the database upon install. It is there. But NOW it won't reconnect. Tried three times?? Could it be the installation is not modifying the config.php files at all???
multimixer
Tried three times?? Could it be the installation is not modifying the config.php files at all??? Well, check them, your configure.php files, are the correct settings in there?. The execution of the .sql file and the writing of configure.php files happens in 2 different steps and files during installation, so the one can work, the other not My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
FIMBLE
Check your error log for f open() problems, it could be you need to add a php.ini file to allow f open() to work Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
