If you log off, your cart will get empty

Hi,

I have an oscommerce shop for several years and everything worked always fine.

 

Now I have problem with customers´ shopping carts:

 

A guest adds item to his shopping cart, signs in and makes an order - everything works fine

 

A guest adds item to his shopping cart, signs in and then signs out. Then signs in again and his shopping cart is empty.

I do see item previously added to his shopping cart at admin/stats_unsold_carts.php but I don´t see it at whos_online.php. And the customer doesn´t see it either.

 

If the customer adds that same item in his shopping cart again, it appears twice at stats_unsold_carts.php

My configure.php files are same as they used to be when it worked normaly. I have added security changes mentioned in a thread How to secure your site meanwhile, so I have modified quite a lot of files. Do you know what piece of code could affected this function or which file should I look at? I tried to upload the shopping_cart.php from my backup, but nothing has changed.

I have found out what it was caused by, but I don´t know how to make it work...

 

I used

www.magic-seo-url.com/oscommerce/tips/running-oscommerce-with-register-globals-off.html

 

and the new code in

catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php

 

made the shopping cart and wishlist stop working properly. :'(
