Categories/Products sort by Manufacturers

I have a client who organizes his products by manufacturer and finds the organization by categories difficult. Is there anyway to display all items of a manufacturer in the admin section of the cart - and from there add products to any of the categories?

I've never come across any thing with that functionality for admin (though my listing add-on will do that for the client side)

 

 

There is quick edit which includes a search function http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5680 which does not feature manufacturers, but you could build on that, would likely be easier than messing with categories.php

Thanks Sam, that's what I thought. I have your Enhanced products listing contrib installed and that gives great sorting on manufacturer - and I told him to use that to cross reference. I checked into the contrib you suggested - looks easy enought to install so I'll give that a try.

Had a few minutes before leaving and checked the suggested Contrib. Is there anyway to add search by manufacturer to this? That would be ideal!!
