jaap de mink Posted February 4, 2010 Share Posted February 4, 2010 Hello On my oscommerce website www.petitpoissonrouge.fr i recently installed on the product_info.php page the add this button script <!-- AddThis Button BEGIN --> <a class="addthis_button" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?v=250&username=jaapdemink"><img src="http://s7.addthis.com/static/btn/v2/lg-share-fr.gif" width="125" height="16" alt="Bookmark and Share" style="border:0"/></a><script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#username=jaapdemink"></script> <!-- AddThis Button END --> The button in nicely placed above the options and works for the product description, however the oscommerce product images are not shared on facebook. So the customer who wants to share the product on facebook only can share the product text description but no images. I contacted addthis and they informed me to tag the images. Try to share a link to your product directly in facebook in the "what are you doing" box. No picture or description found! i am searching forums and google about that quite a while. but have not found any easy fix for that... Try to share a link to your product directly in facebook in the "what are you doing" box. No picture or description found! i am searching forums and google about that quite a while. but have not found any easy fix for that... I'm having exactly the same problem...no image is displayed. Also I'm a step behind as I couldn't add this button to where I wanted. It's either below the product description or above if I do it in product_info.php. I assume it should be added rather to the infoBox, but I couldn't figure out which file and where has to be modified. Though, I see it doesn't work that way either...
