Recommended Posts

Hello! I am trying to use the USPS as a shipping method but it doesn't work, is says: An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations.

If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner.

I have the usps account and I fill out all the info that Shipping Modules needs but it style doesn't work.

Can you help me?

Thank you

The same thing happens to me. I have read many posts on this and people suggest a couple of things.

Make sure your postal code is set in the Configuration--Shipping area

Then they say you have to call usps with the phone number that was emailed to you when you set up a usps webtools account, to get them to switch you to the production server.

USPS WEBTOOLS LINK

here is a link to another thread with some info:

USPS NOT WORKING THREAD

My question is this - on the webtools page - it keeps talking about API's

- My USPS edit options fields don't have anything about api's

I am using the rc2 version - is there a more recent usps module that has a button for test or production?

1) Make sure your stuff in the admin area is filled out (your ZIP in configuration/shipping, etc)

2) Get USPS to get you on the production servier AND tell them you're using osCommerce (otherwise you'll be delayed)

3) Depending on what USPS.php you have you may have to make sure that within osC you're telling it to use the production server instead of test server

Thank you! Thank you!! I did call USPS and they moved the account to production in less than 1 minute. The phone number is: 1-800-344-7779 You have to have your USPS username and the USPS Shipping Module active with all the info that it ask.

Thank you ;)
