Sub Categories Error

Hi, first post here so forgive me if in the wrong place.

 

I have a store with a number of categories and many of these contain sub categories. I am having a trouble with the sub categories. As an example...I have a category with 5 sub categories in it but when I click on sub category 1 to view all the products I get taken back to the shop home, clicking on sub category 2 will take me to the products from sub category one, clicking category 3 will show me the products from category 2 and so forth.

 

Anyone come across a problem like this before?
