Paypal Express or Paypal Pro?

Hi Guys,

I know somewhere here can help me.

I have developed a website that is up and running apart from one problem. My client wants to use paypal but he does not want to have the customers create a paypal account when they need to pay. He would like it as an option but also have the option of simply adding in credit card details and process the order without creating an account. The only payment module i have installed is the Paypal express checkout and i have also have API set up.

Do i need to have Paypal Pro to get the functionality i request where i pay a fee a month or is there any way to do this on the paypal express checkout module.

I did read somewhere that i needed to get an API certificate and save this to a folder where the site is hosted but not sure.

I do have an API Username, API Password and an API Signature.

Other settings of the payment module are as follows:

Version 1.0(online status)

Enable Paypal Express Checkout: True

Transaction Server: Live

Transaction Method: Sale

Set Order Status: Preparing [Paypal Standard]

Sort order of display: 0

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Sparky!

Paypal Pro is needed only If You want the visitor not to move to paypal site and pay but can pay from your site.

Sparky,

I believe if you sign into the Paypal account and change it from a personal account to a business account, this will then let customers pay by debit/credit cards. It is free to change the account to the business type.

Hope this helps.
