mazzapoo Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 i've seen a few posts on this forum that talk about a toolkit for website design, similar to oscommerce but not e-commerce focussed. basically i'm trying to find out what it is and where to find it. anyone knows what i'm talking about? mazzapoo
gambitdis Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Perhaps PHP-Nuke? http://www.phpnuke.org/ --derek
Guest Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 phpClanCMS is another nice small one, but his website appears to be down currently (www.phpclancms.com).
toolcrazy Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 What do you want this software to do for you? Steve -------------------------
mazzapoo Posted February 24, 2003 Author Posted February 24, 2003 postnuke thanks to everyone i just vaguely rememberred coming accross this solution but hadn't bothered at the time to write it down in my little book of truths. phpnuke got me on the right track - found postnuke.com again i need to put together a simple yet powerful site (forum, newsletter, login...) and i won't be able to write it all from scratch. so that's why i'm looking for some help. sample of our own ron seigel can be viewed at http://www.onebusycat.com mazzapoo[/url]
rseigel Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 The easiest way I found was to start with the PostNuke site first and then make the OSC site match that. The reason I did it that way was that I found/tweaked a PN template that I really liked first and it helped that I didn't have to start from scratch (there are TONS of great PN templates floating around out there). Personally, I'm not interested in fully integrating the 2 so I'm happy with what I ended up with.
