I would strongly suggest that you try the following forums

Freebsd Tutorials

 

So far every problem you have posted has been because your FreeBSD server isn't configured properly. Until you fix that there is no point trying to get anything else to work. I have installed the same version of FreeBSD you have and added apache/php/mysql from ports and the osCommerce installation went through without any problems.

Since we are both using the same FAMP programs can I send you a listing of my installed modules etc, so that you can determine any difference that may be a source of the problem? My logs do not show any problems or errors, so my merely looking at the architecture does not identify much, perhaps a comparison with a working system might reveal the problem.

I too had install from the ports, but some customization and / or version number differences may be the source.

 

I make this request since the listing may be long.
