♥mdtaylorlrim Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Ok, here is the situation. I am loading a new shop from scratch with a feed from a distributor. The items total about 29k products with 16k images (not a problem.) But, the images are not all the same aspect ratio. Some are 1:1 or close to it while some are 1:3 (height:width.) I am seeing a few contributions that may take care of this through thumb-nailing. Anyone care to share which contributions would most likely be the best for creating the thumbnail images for the product lists while the pop ups use the full size image, while maintaining the aspect ratios? Or alternately setting the php image size code by reading the image size and calculating new image height/width values? Re-sizing 16k pics is not an option. The server (linux) is not an issue. I can install the gd library if it is not already there. Or most anything else for that matter. All the pics are good size pics. None would be increased in size. acbatchelor Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 i use oscThumb for my site and it works well. it has many options that can be adjusted in the admin, like watermarking and URL security if you want it. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5491
