suzanstr
I'm new to osCommerce, but was able to install it fairly easily! I was really excited, then I tried to log into my admin section. I keep getting an error saying that my password is wrong. I realized, then, that it's the main user/password of my hosting account. So, I tried that. Same result - didn't work. So, I looked in the administrators table and, sure enough, it's my username for my hosting account, and I'm assuming an encrypted version of my password. So, I tried it again. No luck - still wrong password. So, I changed the password (i.e., un-encrypted it). Well, that definitely didn't work - but I was getting desperate! So, here I am. I cannot get into my admin section, because I cannot get the script to recognize the encryption. How to I get around this? Any ideas are ALL WELCOME! ozEworks
Go to your database (phpmyAdmin) and delete the admin record. THen when you go to Admin, it should recreate itself.
