ozEworks Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Not sure what you mean here. If you want to download osCommerce RC2a then you can. http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions But most people who use a right to left language leave Admin in English and then just adapt their store design to cope with it.

ozEworks Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 There is more to it than just loading a language file. The site design has to cope with the right to left display as well.
Jack_mcs Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 What else is there besides the text? It won't make a difference for the images unless they have text, which is up to the designer, not the programmer. And text is just characers that get displayed on the screen. The language files are setup to display them as needed. I've worked on a site that uses a language that reads right to left and it worked as expected when the languages were switched back and forth. I suppose if it mattered which side the infoboxes were on, that could be coded but that seems like it would be more confusing to do that than not to. ozEworks Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Well I guess it must depend on the design style then because often we have done two templates that switch along with the language change. But if you are talking a simple 3 column format, you are right, you would probably change the content of the right and left columns. Usually the search function also needs some work to be able to search over the non-English language given the change to the character set. Interesting subject, designing for RL langauges but a little off-topic. Not even sure what this topic was in the first place!
