Hi

Very new here! Already have a little problem which I don't understand.

Installation generally went well and now have the default install and demo database apparently ok on my hosted website.

BUT.....

In admin login selecting Catalog takes me to a completely blank screen. All other Options seem to work.

Is there something simple I have missed?

I do know what it supposed to be there as when running a local installation via XAMPP on my windoze box I can edit the database.

It would help to know what URL the link is pointing to. Hover your mouse over it an look in the status bar of your browser. Is it the correct link? Is it wrong? What is it? That link is built off of the information in the /catalog/admin/includes/configure.php file. Could be something wrong there.

Appears to be the correct link. Have you done any modifications? When was the last time you had a working page? Can you restore from back media?

Hi

This is a brand new install. Downloaded a couple weeks ago. But only really just got around to trying it on the live site as I had to buy database access from my host.

Could it be that my server is running PHP Version 5.1.6 or some other issue?

Sorry I've no real experience of PHP yet.

If it helps the same thing is happening in Reports/Products Viewed when each product is clicked, a totally blank browser window is the result.

Or could it possibly be caused by some server incompatibilty? My host is Easyspace, unix server NOT MS.

On installation all the checks on the left had green ticks in them.

I'm really hoping I can get to the bottom of this with a little help!

Hi Interested Parties!

Well I seem to have cured it by being brutal!

I deleted the original catalog directory and re uploaded everything from scratch.

It's working! So what I did wrong originally is still a mystery.

Sorry to have wasted any time, but no doubt I'll be back here with hopfully not too dire a problem.
