Search for Google Webmaster Tools and Google Merchant Center. Read, learn, apply. Then start on yahoo and others.

SEO add ons are a good thing, when understood. That knowledge comes from research on Google and other sites.

I do not recommend one seo add on over another. Each persons requirements are different and only you can make an informed decision as to which one to use. But, do not stop with search result placement. Look at all the merchant feed sites as well.

I found at least 7 pages on Google for your site.

Problem is I didn't see any metatags (keywords, content) on any of your pages.

With it like that they just about have to search for your domain name to even find you.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Google and other SEs will be more likely to index your pages if you have unique titles, and META descriptions. Also Search Engine Friendly URLs. You need to install code to do this for you. Search Add-ons for:

Header TAGS SEO and Ultimate SEO URLs by FWR, ...but there are others.

Google Adwords is also a good thing, but you have to pay for it.

Best if you install headers tags seo and seo urls, like hotclutch said.

Those are the best ones if you ask me, cheers.

Google should be able to find you if you have on your webpages the information that it can pick up and understand. I would seriously do as mdtaylorlrim suggested and research into Google Webmaster tools and Google Merchant Centre. Google have been very helpful and they explain exactly how they search for website and the information they look for.

Do not expect to be at the top of searches straight away, a Google bot needs to find you first. Don't try to outsmart Google because you will only be blacklisted. By this I mean inserting many hidden words that are not related to your shop just to get hits. To get the best out of Google my advice would be to make your shop easy for customers to find out about the products and give them information so they can make an informed decision about whether they want to buy your products. Google thinks highly of the words that customers can see on screen. Everyone does metatags, and people can abuse them, so Google does not think much of them, but can be worth having them there.

Google SEO, meta tags and Webmaster Tools. Can take a while, but is worth it.

Good luck

Robots.txt is not always a good thing. sure, it tells where a robot *should* go, but if you tell it where it *should not* go you also tell the hackers where to go..

Sounds like you need to pick you out a good SEO add on and just install it, although you should understand what it does somewhere along the line...

No, that will not automatically open you up to easy attacks. Again, go read about things and learn what they do so you won't get overly excited about things. But I will explain....

One of the security measures to take is to rename your admin directory. Say you rename it to 'myadmin' so that it is not easily found. But then you decide to tell the spiders to not index that directory. So, you add a robots.txt file to your site...

User-Agent *
/myadmin noindex,nofollow

There, you just told every hacker in the world where your new admin directory is at. So, learn what stuff does before you blindly do stuff.

And yes, SEO URLs is a good thing.

I think it will be better to password protect your renamed Admin folder with .htaccess or control panel, and then not reference it at all in robots.txt
