Adding text and image to home page

Hi All,

I have installed an osc V2.2. I have made many changes on my store. I have removed what's new page on the front page.

Now my home page is empty I am trying to add some photos and text to my home page. I have searched all the forum, I actually tried to install add ons for define home page too but nothing works.

I just simply want to add some text and little photos with the links to my home page. Please can someone help me. I don't prefer to install any add ons. It will be to dangerous for me. I already have my store up and running.

I believe I have removed what's new from home but content box of what's new seems still there.

You need to edit

catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php

I will try it right away. Only one question. When I delete that code and add the text directly to main index.php, my content box will be the same as in my tamplate right?

I have also tried to edit english index.php but I cant figure it out where/how add my text into it.

You need to edit define('TEXT_MAIN', 'blah blah blah');

but you have a template, that may not be the case.

Hi,

Everything you want to change is, like you said, in the /catalog/includes/languages/English directory or English.php files (And other languages you want to change).

Maybe you can read some more on Oscommerce and it's structures, it's all explained in the installation guides. Cheers,
