order confirmations from russian customers are not delivered

Hello!

 

So here is the problem. Recently we added russian language and accepting orders from russia. But the problem is that when we try to order in any language confirmation emails are delivered without problem.

 

But when real customers order from russian we don't get confirmation emails and I'm sure they also don't get them.

 

Where is the problem? Could this be a problem of russian characters used in the email or something else? Could this be a server problem? How to solve the problem?

No that's not a problem because when I switch to russian language and place an order I get emails. But when real customers from russia place orders emails are not delivered.

 

What I suspect is that possible they use some russian encoding which is not accepted by oscommerce or by server. I really don't understand where is the problem and where to check?

Problem found but nor solved.

 

It seems that emails are not sent to customers with email address ending with domain .ru

 

Anyone experienced same problem? how to solve it and where to look?

Might be an idea to check with your hosting company to see if they are blocking emails to Russia

I sent email to Godaddy... let's see what they can answer... if this is really godaddy blocking emails to .ru domains then I'm quite disappointed with them once again.
