mohammad.imran Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Hi, I'm new to PHP & shopping cart stuff. I have designed many websites though but mostly into HTML. I have previously with on CGI too, but right now I am confused. I have been successfully able installed OSCommerce v.2.2 RC2 & everything seems to be fine. But I have certain qeuries. 1. I am unable to edit the design of the homepage as well other pages. I have tried opening the .php files in frontpage & Dreamweaver both, but all I get is the coding part & not the design. 2. I need to know how is it possible to modify the existing design (without using ready-made templates). I have used TGP (Total Gallery Pro) software for making galleries (I know it is different from a shopping cart); the process was simple. Just create a simple HTML page according to your need & need put in the codes in the same page wheresoever required. Then take the code for the entire page & paste into the TGP software on the server & rest was done by it. But this seems be more complicated. Regards, Issac Quote
