Setting all products to qty 1 and hide from customer

Hello,

 

I am new to OScommerce but have some experience with websites / php and would like to make a few customizations to my site.

 

I will be selling software where the customer can only order 1 of each product so there is no need for qty at all or even for the customer to view or alter the qty field in update cart.

 

I would like to ask how I may change all product qty values to 1, hide the product qty fields from the customer on the shop site as well as disabling the customer from changing quanity of any product. (They can still remove the item in update cart)

 

Would appreciate any help.

I am sure there are easier ways, but I have an add on to my site called max order drop down. it places a drop down menu to choose a quantity. In admin, you can select the maximum number in the drop down list. I coupled that with a remove add on, so the customer does not have to click the update button.

 

This would not remove the quantity feature as you asked, but it would limit there choice to 1.
