Mort-lemur Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Hi, I am looking to add a Free Shipping mod based on value. ie if a customer spends over say £100 he will get free shipping. However, I need to exclude certain items from this (big and heavy - expensive to ship!) How can I do this ? The only way I can think at the moment is to include a discount code on the checkout page for the shipping value - and add exclusions to the discount code. Anyone have any other ideas ? If your shipping charges do not vary much due to distance, then simply raise the price of your heavy items to cover the 'free' shipping. Mort-lemur Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 Hi, Thanks for that, but not an option really - I'm trying to tempt my buyers to buy more and go over the £100 threshold - and absorb the free shipping cost out of my margins on lots of small items. However the heavy items are VERY heavy (£60 +) to ship so I think increasing the price would scare customers off. josh48202 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 you can go to your admin control panel go to modules then order total and then shipping and theres an option in there for free shipping for orders over $X.XX not so sure about the items weight.
