purplemartinart Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Several times I have had need to correct a customers email address. For example they enter address as .net instead of .com or their is a small typo that when I go to edit customers profile in admin I can correct the address but when sending email or even looking at the email address in their orders, it shows the incorrect email address. But the correct email address shows in their profile. Does anyone have any idea how I can correct this or why this is happening? thanks so much. Thanks, Susan Proudly uses Oscommerce!
npn2531 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 you could check the database directly. If you have phpMyAdmin on your webhost it is not difficult. Look at the customers table and at the customer_email_address. knifeman Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I believe the address is stored in the database with each order as well as the customer table. So once an order is stored, the profile address is not used on order updates, but rather the one stored with the order. Tim
