Guest Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 This is not an OScommerce question but I'm not sure who else to ask. I am hoping someone can offer some advice. I have an online oscommerce web site. I have a live customer service program that I run through the site. This program lets me know when someone enters or exits my site, their IP address, how many pages they've visited, and how they got to my site. It also tells how long they have been on my site. In the last month I have been using this I noticed that the same IP address has been getting on my site, then they just sit on it for a few days. They get off for a few hours, and then back on for a few days. Same IP address. This has been going on for a month. Why would the load my site and not go anywhere for days. Am I being hacked? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Jack_mcs Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Look up who the ip belongs to. It might just be a search engine. Ben Nevis Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 There are various online sites where you can put in a IP address and find out who it belongs to, just google 'whois'. You could also check your server logs to find out whether the IP has really just been sitting there. www.jyoshna.com. Currently using OsC with STS, Super Download Store, Categories Descriptons, Manufacturers Description, Individual Item Status, Infopages unlimited, Product Sort, Osplayer with flashmp3player, Product Tabs 2.1 with WebFx Tabpane and other bits and pieces including some I made myself. Many thanks to all whose contributions I have used!
