Fyod Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Hi, due to a new tax law, I need to change the VAT in my eshop, but I don't want the current price (incl VAT) to change. Is there any easy way to do this or will I just have to manually change the end price on all products? Thanks in advance!
Guest Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 You COULD install Quick Price Updates: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/122 then reduce ALL the prices by the difference you added to the Taxes. ie. current tax 10% If the tax rate goes to 20% Reduce all your net prices by 10% and change the tax rate to 20% Just a thought. Chris
piperman Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I have the exact same problem, I need to reduce the VAT rate (for Ireland) from 21.5% to 21%. I know how to do this, but i want to keep the price including tax the same. Otherwise all my 19.99 prices change to 19.93 etc. Any help would be great. Thanks
Fyod Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 I searched the addons and also found only QPU contrib. But I have quite a few producs and it would probably be a pain to change all of it. Anyone else have an idea before I start manually changing the prices?
Guest Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 If you only have a FEW products, then manually change the price of each so it doesn't change the gross amount. Otherwise, installation of the quick price update contribution is the only solution I can suggest. Chris
