What file do I edit in order to edit text in the main body of the home page? Also I want to put an image in the center of the home page to improve design. Any tips on how to do this?

includes/languages/english/index.php

text main is defined in this file and you put your text there. You can also use html to format or insert an image.

As an alternative, the image can be inserted directly into you index.php file in the root directory.

The text I want to change is not in the index.php as you mentioned. The text is right here on my home page. I cannot find that text in includes/languages/english/index.php. I am going nuts.

Stock oscommerce has the main text in the file I mentioned. If it is not there, then the code has been modified.

1. whomever modified it should know where it is now located.

2. the index.php in your root directory should call the text. Look in that file for the call and search your php files for a define that matches the call. Many text editors can search numerous files at one time.

I have no way to figure who modified it. I have not worked with very reliable people regarding some of this oscommerce changes. Here is my root index php file. Do you see anythign that calls for that text? I have no clue!

It looks like that was setup in the base code. Your text should be in a file called mainpage_0

It looks like that was setup in the base code. Your text should be in a file called mainpage_0

I found it! Good Lord. If I want to do further formatting I assume I will make changes in the includes/languages/english/index.php
