Road block in pyment phase?

Hi!.

 

I want to stop customers using a specific payment option if there total is over a certain amount.

 

The module i want to alter is the COD.

 

If they order over, lets say 100 dollars, and they choose COD, i want them to be rejected from continuing, and getting a warning that says "This payment option is not possible for orders over 100 dollars"

 

However, i also have a discount coupon module installed, which the costumers types in at the the payment phase.

 

So the Total check needs to come after the payment phase.

 

Is this possible?.
