Ben Nevis Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 You could look at the osplayer addon that pops up an mp3 player, to see where and how it modifies the product page/lists and perhaps use that to popup a flash video player instead, or a page that autoloads an embeded youtube video. www.jyoshna.com. Currently using OsC with STS, Super Download Store, Categories Descriptons, Manufacturers Description, Individual Item Status, Infopages unlimited, Product Sort, Osplayer with flashmp3player, Product Tabs 2.1 with WebFx Tabpane and other bits and pieces including some I made myself. Many thanks to all whose contributions I have used!
♥kymation Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Youtube gives you the code to embed a video on any web page. Just paste that code into your product description. I've done this, as well as putting the embed code in a separate tab. Both ways work. You could add it to a popup with a bit more work. Copy the image popup and use it as a template. You'd need an aditional database field to hold the video code. This could also be done in Flash, such as with a Lightbox overlay, but that's adding yet more complexity. It all depends on how much work you are willing to go to. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
