fred2602 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Dear all, First, my best wishes to all members of this community! Have a nice and wonderful new year 2010. Here is my issue. I have a Windows hosting (Godaddy) and I am trying to install oscommerce (2.2). Here are the steps I have successfully done: - Creation of a new database (mysql version 5) - Importation of the "oscommerce.sql" file with all the tables and structure for oscommerce - Copy all the catalog folder on my host Then, I have start the installation with the myserver/catalog/install Everyting works perfect and I have checked the tables admin and configuration, it's correctly filled with the information I provided during the installation. But, when I arrive at the end of the installation with the 2 options "Catalog" and "Admin", nothing works.. The catalog redirects me to the installation page and the "Admin" redirects me to a error message "connection with your database is not possible". I have read many documents on the installation but can't find the explanation. My knowledge is also poor in these areas, so perhaps it's obvious and somebody can help me.. In the meantime, I will continue to search into the forum.. Thanks for your time, Fred
fred2602 Posted December 26, 2009 Author Posted December 26, 2009 Sorry.. I am stupid.. so I have installed it first in local.. and my stupidity has discovered that the configure.php files were not automatically updated.. So issue closed :) Thanks
