Getting better with mods but no programmer am I.

Ben Nevis Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 It might be the wp.osc, a plugin for wordpress. But basically you don't shoe-horn a forum into osc, you use your graphics and design your pages within the forum and osc softwares to have a consistent look and feel, with a portal page as johnybebad suggests. www.jyoshna.com. Currently using OsC with STS, Super Download Store, Categories Descriptons, Manufacturers Description, Individual Item Status, Infopages unlimited, Product Sort, Osplayer with flashmp3player, Product Tabs 2.1 with WebFx Tabpane and other bits and pieces including some I made myself. Many thanks to all whose contributions I have used!
johnnybebad Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 So if I installed an fresh osC how could I get a forum on it for example? they have an index page, which is basically the landing page and links to the actually functions like shop and forum are on it. they installed the shop into catalog directory so you would install forum into forum directory, osc into catalog or shop directory. then on your links you would have ShopForum thats about it really I am ure you can make things more complicated by integrating the user/customer databases. Getting better with mods but no programmer am I.

I wouldn't need to integrate the customer database, so that's fine. Do I start with osC and build of from there with links or what? Or something like Joomla?
