hi

when i add an url to the product in admin and enter www.google.ro it works.

but when i add for ex. www.google.ro/newfolder/folder/ it redirects to the home page of the main website instead of the product website...

any ideas?

What happens if you add the actual page (index.php for example) at the end?

it goes to the same default page of the shop without "/" at the end and with /index.php

It's strange because when i hover the button and when i click it i can see the correct path..it's just redirecting bad.

Can you post a link?

That should be a link to an outside site so you really do not have control over what the other server does.

On the other hand, are you putting the link to your product ON YOUR SITE in that box?

i sell templates so i put a live demo link for each template. the links goes to another website. it's strange because i didn't encountered this issue so far , but i do have around 50 modules installed and i'm stuck with this which is very important.

Ok, then, you have control over the website it directs to.. The folder of the url, does it always contain a working index.xxx or something file in that directory?

So, it really doesn't work when pointing directly to a valid file? Can you browse directly to the file, and to the folder from a browser?

yes they all work. on the same domain i have the old osc still rc.2.2a and they all work. i guess it's from one of the modules that i have installed. my main purpose is to find out what could cause such an issue, more exactly which file could be affected in order for the redirect not to work. then i can look over the installed modules and see which one did edited the file in fault.
