Instant download link not appearing after paypal payment

Recommended Posts

I am running osCommerce 2.2. All of our products are instant downloads. All products have been added to the correct folders and are setup to download correctly. I am able to go to the exact URL where product is located and download the file from there but it does not work in my store. Here is the issue:

1. Customer adds product(s)to cart.

2. Customer goes to checkout.

3. Customer either needs to register with our site or logon if already registered.

4. Customer proceeds to checkout and is sent to Paypal to sign in.

5. After payment through Paypal is made, customer is to click on 'Return to Merchant'.

6. They are returned back to our store, but there is no download link to download product and it says the cart is empty. I have even tried logging on again but there is still no download link.

7. No order shows in under orders in our admin panel but the sale does go through Paypal and customer gets charged.

I have seen MANY people with same issue but does not seem like there is just one easy fix. I have involved my hosting company but they are useless. I did have them enable Session Cookies though. Unfortunately I am a newbie to osCommerce.

Anyone have ANY ideas? Thanks much!

Angel,

Have you installed the Super Download Shop Contribution ? (http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/4868)

The contribution uses a 'Download Controller' to set a flag in the order status. Once installed and the customer is returned to checkout_success.php, you can set it to do an immediate download OR set it to hold the download until you ca verify payment.
