timbeckham Posted February 21, 2003 Share Posted February 21, 2003 While in shopping_cart.php, if one changes the quantity of an item and then, without clicking "Update", goes directly to checkout by clicking "Checkout", the new quantity is lost. IMHO, this is non-intuitive behavior. One should, of course, be permitted to record the new quantity by clicking "Update", but that should not, in my opinion, be a requirement. If the user wants to proceed directly to checkout, it is intuitive to expect that the update process will be a part of the checkout procedure. - You make your change, and the program knows what you have done.
