Oh the old series 2 seo urls.

 

You should really post in that support thread. Or see my sig for a newer version if you are on php5.2+

 

But it will be .htaccess related.

installing this has also got rid of my other contribution which was called purchase without account

anyway i can get it back? also hw do i uninstall the old version of SEO if i install the new one it will automatically override it?

I got a reply from my ISP when i told them about this error

they said

 

Hi,

1. Whenever you install ANY contribution, make a back up of each file that you are touching. Then if(when) it all goes wrong you can simply revert to the last know good stage.

 

2. If you are uncomfortable with PHP, get learning now. www.php.net and w3schools.com are good starting points.

 

3. Expect no support from your ISP. Expect no support from anyone here. Expect no support from anyone anywhere. It's all down to you - that's the wonderful thing about Open Source code - you do it all yourself.

 

Above all, realise that you are new with osCommerce, so you should be taking very small steps and understanding what you did to your code/store BEFORE you move onto the next thing you do.

this is the one that was developed by a user named chemo

i tried to contact him about it but it said the person cannot be found

for now I have disabled this module in admin. Can I install another SEO contribution? any reccomendations?

preferabbly ones that do not mess up my site :(

the contribution i need will also need to be canocolisation frendly it should display a www

in frnt of each product.

okay to backup if I download the oscommerce directory and save it on my machine and then re upload it will I have the store functioning in case something goes wrong?
